He is considered by many cats as a true cool, calm, collected and risky hustler, recently he was appointed one of the event management committee of Hip hop cares foundation.  The man is just unstoppable as he said on one of his hot single “can’t stop me”. His name is Slabsta, once again The 013 got in touch with the ninja on a short interview to learn more about his HHC appointment and other activities and this is he got to say.

Wise: Slabsta ma man what’s good

Slabsta: None much FAM you??

Wise: am collected, man let’s get to it hip hop cares revealed you as one of their board member. Take us through the journey of climbing this ladder, and what position you holding?

Slabsta: My first performance ever was at HHC2. I went there to perform my first single “Get Tipsy”, after that my music was no longer just a dream it came to life. I’ve always been a supporter of Hip Hop Cares Foundation because I really liked the idea of giving back through the art that we create, today I’m a member and part of event management. This came about this year when I decided I want to give back to my

community

Wise: so you on a team that will be overseeing the events?

Slabsta: (laugh out loud) Well the Chair oversees everything but as part of the committee we make sure that we bring the best event

Wise: Saying that, are you giving your word that the July gig is gonna be an epic?

Slabsta: I’m very positive dude so hell yeah!!

Wise: How are you guys marketing the event to reach audiences outside BGF radar?

Slabsta: Social media, radio stations, word on the street, all it takes FAM.

Wise: Are you lined up for any radio interviews, where and when can people tune in?

Slabsta: Yes actually I’ll be on Mogale Fm in Kagiso today from 15:30cat. Their frequency is 93.6

Wise: Any word from the organisation to the people?

#SWENK is one of BGF biggest waves making songs At the moment and the man behind it is one of BGF finest rappers. his name is CzAr Molatudi. got in touch with man of the moment and this is how we kicked it.

Wise: Ma man. First introduce CzAr. Who is the man behind the name and what is he about?

CzAr: Czar is a born artist who ventured into music sometime in 2010, that’s when he started taking the calling serious and stepped into studio to do his first song. The boi always rapped along almost too every song he loved and would have mimic battles from the age of 12. Czar is not just about music he's about the art itself, he does more than music and is not confined within one category but has more love the music as he was more exposed to the industry and music business

Wise: So you not in this game to fool around ?

CzAr: At first I wanted to rap for the fame and girls, till I got to Jozi and realized there's more to the music by hanging around with the artist, If you knew what I do behind the scenes, the deals me and my team are trying to close you would know that I’m in it for the long run, I’m trying to make a name for myself while I also make a living, my aim is to leave a legacy coz I know these genes will be passed on

Wise: Ma man right about now I'm hearing a devoted artist. Keep the spirit ma,  if you brave enough you can attempt telling us where you see yourself in 5 years from now.

CzAr: From what I've learned about how shallow this industry I honestly wouldn’t know as to the limits I’m willing to overcome but what I know is I would have established movements which I plan to execute, I would have influenced a lot of hearts, I see myself growing and learning more in the next 3 years I see myself way bigger than I am right now though, fan base wise coz my music is slowly breaking out of Burgersfort

Wise: Talking about your music breaking out of BGF. How do you put yourself out there, what is your formula? Maybe someone outchea is waiting to hear from the right source and start kicking such moves

CzAr: If I had the right formula my guy I would be where I wanna be, it’s just about having a team, that has the same vision as you, people who will make plans and hustle for you when you are away or asleep but the simplest way is to get a PR if you have money they will do all the promo work for you and you'll have more time to focus on making the music

Wise: Your new joint Swenk is making big waves, tell us about it.

CzAr: Swenk is a collabo I did with Thando aka Stiggz, it was previously my song alone called Mansa Musa I had a different chorus verses and all, I played it for Thando he loved the beat and we managed to remake the song and still managed to keep the Mansa Musa concept of

reprising an ancient black legend who was the richest man on the planet that even donated half of his wealth to the Europeans, as u hear in the bridge, we say we want to ball like him and be the golden boys (comes from the original song) so that we can also flash our wealth and let people know that even black people can be that wealthy since our people are suppressed and programmed into believed they were born to struggle..Swenk is basically saying you too black brother can ball and have all you want one of our fellow ancestors has done so can you

Wise: Ma man. Now let's talk BGF hip hop. You’ve been vocal about the division and lack of unity. What should be done to orchestrate unity?

CzAr: I asked for help from BGF hip hop but all they did is continue fighting and shaming us on the same status update, I’m focusing on me now bro

Wise: Haha so you giving up?

CzAr: I’m focusing my energy on things that will help me grow not stress me any further, It’s not like I was talking to teenagers, I have shared my vision with the guys I’m expecting change if they don’t ever see it I will continue walking my path u feel me? Giving up sounds really negative

Wise: Ma man I hear you. Who is the rapper or any man involved in the movement you respect their way of hustle?

CzAr: Generally? J.Cole I look up to him, the things he faced, the way he had to knock on one door several prints when Jay Z wouldn’t even take his CD, now he's his Prodigy, and locally that nigger Slabsta, that nigger of mine is a risk taker he inspires me Trey Mash too, they see

Wise: and which BGF rapper is your most listened. The one who don't miss your playlist?

CzAr: King Obbs and ABN

Wise: Ma man. Anything you wanna share with fans?

CzAr: Yeah I would appreciate it if they really supported us, shared our music and made people listen to it, support us the way they support the guys who have already made it , give us feedback on our songs so that we feed them what they want and help ourselves grow

BGF HIP HOP (UNSTOPABLE)

BGF hip hop is growing and it cannot be stopped in anyway. It’s like an expecting woman who in labor, no one can tell her to stop pushing. Ninjas in Burgersfort keep on pushing and I for one am sure that we bring forth a giant baby. We have it all in the hoods of BGF from supper lyricists to noise making rappers; we have dope joints that can knock down anytime of the day joints that are making waves on the main streams. We have joints that can irritate better than those on the commercial stream. Most of all we have mix-tapes that can outclass mix-tapes from well-known emcees around the globe.

Did I mention that we have dope beat makers?  Greatest hustlers we do have, the ones that are out there kicking every door available to see their products reaching the open cast. That’s what BGF hip hop is about.

It is without dout that BGF hip hop is growing and has a great measured potential of being recognized as the power house of South African hip hop and the music industry in general. While others are busy saying the movement cannot grow because of this and that, we have visionaries that are busy making moves and pushing the right buttons for the movement to enter the main stream.

Marvel entertainment under Tetelo “King Marvel” Mabuza one of the finding members is one of the promising companies to shine bright and give our small town a good name in the hip hop scenes. The company was established early this year (2016) and has under its wing 3 signed artists like Trey Mash (another finding member), Coastatic and Termination bar. This year only under this stable one can expect Termination bar’s album titled Sink or Swim, Tray Mash is also dropping awaited Money Over Phame EP.

No matter how much cats want to deny that there is no hip hop without feuds it keeps on coming naturally so. That is because there is no way in any game that individuals can have same views and understanding while naturally every man thinks his views are top notch. The way any rapper pushes his hustles, lay down his rhymes, conduct business, socialize etc. might call critics to say something. That comes naturally and it all depends on how you react to it. It’s not always that people will agree everything in your life. Be it family members or friends. People will always have something to say about anything in your life, good and offensive statements will always reach your ears whether you like it or not. Some are of love influenced while some are pure hate, but the most important part is your reaction toward what people say or think. You cannot force people to act or be of the same mind with you. Its two ways (Left & Right/ Positive & Negative) we cannot be all in one lane.    

IN TOUCH WITH HIP HOP CARES NEW CHAIRMAN GEOMETRIC MPHO NKOSI

Got in touch with Geometric Mpho Nkosi, new hip hop cares chair man and Mandisi Dizz Kekana anounced that he was stepping down as the chairman. This is how our conversation went.

Wise: Geometric ma man

Geometric: Awe

Wise: how you doing my guy?

Geometric: Am good and you

Wise: Never been better than this. Anyway congratulation on your new responsibilities as HHC chairman, how about a little interview to give HHC lovers a little inside about the new changes and the man on the steering?

Geometric: Lol am not good with this interview things but it's fine we can talk! And thanks for wishing us luck

Wise: Haha it ain't that difficult before you know it we'll be over it. Ok my guy I am sure some HHC fans would like to know about Geometric. Can you briefly tell who Geometric is and what he's about?

Geometric: Thank you for having Me. Geometric Mpho Nkosi is a simple guy who resides in Burgersfort, A caring husband and father. Am a bit reserved but can turn up if I have to. Am a soccer fanatic, a staunch Orlando Pirates Supporter. My love for music started at tender age but it intensified in 2004.I was a House DJ going by the name of DJ Mphoza. Did a lot of gigs around and in Pretoria untill 2007. My love for Hip-hop started in 2007 when I produced Dizz's first project which was titled street Glow. In a nutshell you can say i launched his music career or discovered him in a way. Ever since that time the Hip-Hop genre swallowed me as a follower. I gave up producing part due to family commitments.

Wise: Ma man that's quite a history. You have been erected as HHC chairman, how did that come about and how long have you been on the organization board?

Geometric: I have been a member since the inception of HHC in June 2013 and when it was registered officially in August 2014, I was the Deputy Chair. Dizz is more or less 800km's away from us and it was becoming impossible for him running it from that side hence he decided to vacate the post but he's still with us 100% fully committed

Wise: Good news that he's still with the organization. July 2 is going to be the first gig under your chairmanship, what can music lovers expect?

Geometric: Obviously not everything is gonna be changed but they must brace themselves for something new that we have never done it before. We going full throttle on that idea. Fans and Bo'Mrapper must fasten their seatbelts. We wanna make amends for our previous gig and I can confirm that it’s gonna be a big surprise for everyone because they were never ready for this one.

Wise: Sounds interesting. is it safe to reveal the venue or it still an internal matter?

Geometric: It's still internal as we have coupler venues to choose from but it shall be revealed in days to come.

Wise: any chance of revealing at least 3 considered venues?

Geometric: It will be premature of me to say that because there's a strict policy within the organization when coming to such matters.

Wise: Ma man I hear you. Now as a new chairman what's your take on rappers and some people who has been vocal in criticising the organization way of doing things and its policies?

GEOMETRIC

Geometric: Well we know everyone won't be happy about the way we do or run things. Critics build us and they must keep showing us those mistakes because that means that love this course same as us. I want to assure them that we trying our outmost best to make everyone feel at peace. We have open door policy and we have previously solved problems with Cats and the community. I hope and believe that together we can steer this organisation to greater heights. At the end of the day, it's not all about us. It's about those less privileged kids out there. It's about feeding the needy families that needs food more than us.

They must keep showing us those mistakes because it means THEY love this course same as us.

Wise: Fair enough doing it for the needy and I guess that is all of us responsibility. Man let me not give you the pressure as you just stepped in and still putting your ministry together. In hope that you'll pass me new updates when the international matters are ready to go public.
