In touch with Taydos

The growth of Burgersforf Hip Hop lies on the hands of hard working Emcees, Cats that are found all over and their creativity don’t cease. This cat right here Taydos TheRocking Emcee is just a man to take the movement to another level. He is hard working and keeps droppin joints and Google don’t miss his name and work. The013 got in touch with him and man it happened.

Wise: Ma man. I'm sure one thing the pips and I would like to know is that little history of Taydos. Take us through in and outta the rocking Emcee.

Taydos: Short story.. Taydos The RocKing Emcee, government name Thato Prince Boshego was born and raised in Soweto, Zone 2, Spent most my life in the West Rand. Pops is from BGF and that's how I ended up in the 013

Wise: Now that's what I'm talking about. The love of Hip hop man; when did that bug sting you? Under who's influence?

Taydos: Okay the first real exposure I got was from my brother. A big hip hop lover, so all I ever heard playing was hip hop. So from a young age I was boss at rapping other peoples verse, caught them quick! Then in grade 5 we had talent show and I and my niggas decided to rap. Wrote my first verse round bout then. Fast forward>> I couple years and in high school I started recording music. My very first producer was thee Faceless, he was influence in mentor way. There was a group my niggas older brother was in, Fine-tunes. They influenced everyone!! Kinda opened the way for us. Made us realize that even if you a school kid and shit, you can still get in the booth and rep what you love
And here you are doing your thing.
Wise: Let's talk Taydos the business man. The A.league, How did it start; where does the business part of you coming from?
I'M Business man. The Actuall-
League is my establishment.

Tydos: Okay I came up with idea when I studying sound. At first it was kinda like a group, but then a friend of mine told me to always think bigger so I started a label. It’s my brain child but along with my cousin Scoop Trilla and my day one nigga Blubox we made it a brand or label or sorts. I and Blu where the first but we've grown since then. The A now has its own studio, owns a PA System, has a clothing label in the works and boast dope as artists like NOSE, Abstract Narcotic, SkillZ even our own female emcee! Oh yeah and the "actuall" in The A.C.T.U.ALL League is an acronym "Artistic Cats That Utilize ALL"
Wise: That's inspiring man. So what are the ups and downs of running business in a small town like Burgersfort?
Taydos: The hardest thing for me if something I call 'POP'.. POP goes two ways. Sometimes you put Passion over Profit and sometimes you put Profit over Passion. I put my passion over everything and that just makes the job harder cause some people don't fully understand what you tryna accomplish or where coming from.. So meeting those great minds that think alike is hard but the ups is I think BGF is still young you feel? So there's potential for practically anything and everything!
Wise: Yeah I see a lotta potential. Man you are known to be one of the kings of BGF Hip hop. I spoke to lotta people and your name keeps poppin up. Now today I want you to hook me up with top five of your kings, well excluding yourself of course
Taydos: Hahaha nobody seldomly tell me shit.. But yeah my top 5 neh, can't sang really.. But okay, I'd say Nose, Prism, Turm, Blu, Fess & Monster Saint I know its 6 but on the real those I niggas I would pay for sixteen lol but ask me again in five minutes and I bet you the list will change again. Cause that's like Genesis and two Actuall League niggas! Sounds bias but in all honestly I think its cause Bothanes just that hot!! And from those niggas I know I'll get more than just three links a year. Them niggas put in work.

Wise: Ha ha ha ha ha Ok I see. And who do you think makes and can make a battle Mc?
Taydos: I think any mc can be a sick as a battle cat.. Not if you like Cru Mayor though cause you need balls! With balls, bars and confidence most cats that can kill a verse will kill in a battle. But like everything experience counts too.. But I believe every emcee should be able to battle, it’s a part of the culture. I'm no battle cat, but I'll smack any wack ass that deserves it.
Wise: Ha ha ha ha ha so any cat should think twice before coming for you?
Taydos: Haha lemme say if I was Cru Mayor, SkillZ wouldn't even have had to wait no more than a day for a reply. Then I'd battle him still for good measure
Wise: Ha ha ha ha I see you've got cojones man and Damn you earning my respect; so you one of those who label Cru a coward?
Taydos: Hahaha look I think Cru is coward because he made hip hop look bad. We all have opinion that's cool, but the reason people don't always say shit is cause people out there just ain’t got the cojones to stand up to the consequences their opinions bring. Now Cru fronts like he got the cojones but clearly he just fronts well.. Cru is a coward because he made hip hop look bad. Even now everybody talks smack about him and his still acting like Skillz just tickled his belly, grinning on Facebook when the whole hip hop culture is looking at him in straight disappointment. I think his action with the Skillz diss just proved how much he is a rapper and not an emcee, yeah does a lil hip hop bout really I don't think the cultures in him

Wise: Done. My hope is to see the man coming not after SkillZ but after any Hip hop cat and fans that disrespected him. You hit 'em type like and show Hip hop the middle finger. That's what Hip hop loves
Tydos: Exactly.. Cause now it’s not likes SkillZ dissed him. It’s like he exposed a great flaw in Cru Mayor that other are gonna use against him, that’s why these memes. Peeps know you won't do none. That's why everyone talks smack, peeps know you won't do none.
Wise: Man you talking Hip hop. So are you heading to HHC? What can be expected from you?
Taydos: I'll be all bout hip hop.. Yeah I'm mos def. rocking HHC, with the whole team of course. The A, plans to shut shit down!! From me people can expect whole lotta music!! Me and Nose might be working on a joint mixtape or EP or something.. I’ma be killing it with a bunch savages with Fess' Typa Dude Remix.. People must expect a bunch of things from the The Actuall League pre HHC mos def... But in terms of hard core project, I'm in the lab almost every day, you never know. Oh yeah I peeps can check out my mixtape, Grand Entrance, Google me lol.

Wise: Man you rich in Hip hop and we are very thankful to have you in BGF. I'm looking forward to witness more and more of your work. I'm no 0 fan.
Taydos: Haha props to you brother, I appreciate the time my guy. I’m Thankful for any platform to run my mouth.
Wise: Ha ha ha ha I hope you don't become Cru's victim for this. But Hey this is Hip hop, no man is immune

Taydos: Haha if I does, it will actually land him in my good books, cause its hip hop

In Touch With Turm. The real Bastard

It’s The 013 baby and yes we keep doing what we gotta do. Keeping in touch with the unknown and bringing them into the platform where hip hop lovers in the globe can reach. Yes we bring hip hop in your face. This time around I got in touch with the real Bastard, yeah Turm-The’Bastard (real name Sphiwe Ntwampe) this is on interview I long waited for; so I did put Turm on the corner and we just started the interview that wasn’t supposed to happen until July. So July we still coming but in a mean time this is the time we had for hip hop sake.

Wise: Turm
Turm-The’Bastard: My King
Wise: ’Sup
Turm: Ah nex(nothing much) just stuck in my room deciding if I wanna cook or let this hunger kill me.
Wise: Ha ha ha ha let’s leave the last part for now until you give me what I want; man I’ve been avoiding you! But today you gotta be on the 013, how’s that?
Turm: Well I knew you had your own reasons going to different cats so I was waiting for my turn. Besides I have nothing huge to announce at the moment, but I’ll be having something juicy for you for you by July. Anyway, I also make up the 013 hip hop so why not?
Wise: We’ll have some by July also. Right now let’s kick it in getting to know who Turm is and things like that.
Turm: Well although I worked with people like Kaslo,
Jeff, Touch and my king Sputla of course, I prefer to define myself as a self-built musician. I see myself as someone who goes beyond rapping cos even if I lose my voice and go mute, I'd still be impactful and create hits still. From rapping to being a music engineer, I am my own man who manages to transform his own shit to manure and use them as fertilizers. So who is Turm, well Turm is the future. Open the book of Genesis and find out haha
With Dj Sputla The King
Turm: I'm afraid I can't tell bro. It’s all uder wraps, we not willing to share our plans yet. "Be on the lookout" is as far as I can go about it
Wise: The joint Bothashoek manners man. What did you guys smoke to come up with that? Take us through it. The built up and final product
Turm: Now that set the bar high, a joint from God no pun intended. It was me and Nose on our way to the A.League studio then we saw Sputla outside his crib, so we decided to just check him out. The King played us a few of his beats until me and nose heard the Bothashoek Manners beat and went nuts over it, that how it all started. We discussed the concept and thought it’s high time we dedicate a song to our hood, and I was like if it’s a Bothashoek song I suggest we add Prism too. Sputla approved, I called the nigger through and that's how it came about. Sputla and Nose worked on the mastering while we were hyping it on social networks. Then
Bang! We have an HHC Song of the Year!!!!!!
Mic Check
Wise: I must say. The joint still drives me against walls.
Out of all the cats you ever worked with. Who do you consider the most creative?
Turm: Hmmm this is a tough one. I never wanna credit my crew cos it’s going to be like "Yeah we thought so", so let me not even think of any cat from Genesis......let me see, I'm gonna have say
Nose! What I like about Nose is that he's not just about laying a verse and be out. He does music, he's unpredictable and sick! Nose is one fat challenge! A beast on the mic, on beats and mastering.....this is why I consider him the best in BGF.
Wise: Nose huh? Don't give him too much credit; he'll grow a big head. Ma man you a typo dude who says I'll turn down a collabo due to whack beat, are you being for real? And who is one cat you don't dream collaborating with?
Turm: Yeah dawg, I'm for real. Not that I expect niggers to halla with international standard beats, but I don't expect a pap beat either. I not charging for a feature don’t make me desperate, I only have the heart and enough love to work with local cats willingly. But I have my own levels and I can't afford to degrade; rather have no collab at all.
And I don't think I'm big enough to have people who wouldn't wanna collab with. Despite my efficiency on the mic, I'm also just like every rapper from BGF striving for recognition. Matter of fact, I wanna work with everyone. I only hve rappers who I'm certain that they're below my level, but I don't let that determine the number of cats I'd wanna collab with. I'm good to work with everyone cos I'm nothing without my BGF niggers

Wise: Man I like the way you present yourself, that's so artistic. What do you think of cats who don't stand up for diss songs? I mean the other day I was listening to Big Swazi’s disaster rhymes and I heard many cats dodged him because of the sound quality.
Turm: Thank You! Well with that neh, there's being coward and there's being professional. But the low quality excuses is a kak(Bull shit) excuse. It’s called a "Diss Song", not a "Quality Song". Niggers chose to be rappers and should satisfy the rap game to the fullest or go suck a fresh baby cactus. I don't know how wrong or right ditching a diss song is, but for me, if u get dissed and never defend yourself, you're a coward. I instantly lose all the respect I had for you
Business Man Damn
Wise: My point exactly. My journey with Hip hop, I have heard lotta low quality diss joints. Some recorded with cellphones but niggas stood up and do the street talking. Now I know you Kendrick Lamar's big fan. Who else internationally and locally is in your good books?
Turm: Lol Kendrick till the end of time....I still listen to Zola and Prokid even today. These guys built me and still do. Then I also respect rappers like Zubs, Tumi, Proverb, KO, Reason and Ginger Breadman.
Internationally it’s K.dot of course, Hopsin, Rapsody,
Black Hippy,Cole, the Roots, Immortal Tech and Logic. The list is endless but these are the ones I can hardly go a day without listening to.
Wise: Interesting list. Zola man, he challenged not only kwaito heads but also rappers. Now my guy, drop the names of heads you cannot tolerate!
Turm: Locally! If locally then how local? (He asked with annoyed face)
Wise: Take them all. Internationally, locally and bleeding to BGF
Turm: 2Chainz, Lil Wayne, Young Thug and Young Thug again, L-tido and the entire Glitz Gang. Now in BGF, I'm not gonna put it as "rappers I can't tolerate", we all growing. There's this kid called
Young Chris from the BTC Crew, he's got potential and can go beyond what he delivers. I believe he's actually doper than he's serving. Then Termbar, that one has got to decide if he's a rapper or a Facebook Customer Server. Then Cru Mayor, this nigger got to stop dropping one track and boast the whole year on how he's better than others, then lay low and be coward when he gets diss tracks. Then remind us he's an award winner.
Besides, Rookie of the year rhymes with Pussy of the gear. This nigger got to start doing music and stop running his mouth.....I'm probably a bit irrelevant from your Q but I won't cancel this
@ Work doing What I Love
Wise: You telling it man and my job is to dish to Hip hop fans and I'm glad we have cats like you who calls spade a spade. I saw somewhere that Cru blocked you on Facebook. What led to that blocking?
Turm: Lol I don't know man, I really don’t know. I post a lot of crazy stuff about everyone and I'm the typa dude (S/O to Fess) who speaks his mind, so I believe he saw one of my posts about him and blocked me. But I'm very sure that this has something to do with that whole Skillz quarrel cos it’s me and Nose who made it bigger than it should have been. So I was never his favourite person since then, at least I didn’t pretend.......
Wise: Man we can go on and on. Let's save some for July.
How can your fans keep in touch with you?
Turm: Facebook: Sphiwe Turm Ntwampe
Twitter: @Sphiwe_Turm
That's just it.........that's where they can get to know what a nigger be up to. Thanks for having me, it was a pleasure talking Hip Hop with The
013. Shout Outs to STN Rec, Prism and Monster Saint.

Wise: Ta for keeping it real man and the mag you suggested can boost BGF Hip hop, be on the lookout, it might happen. Keep blasting those rhymes and cruise on them hard beats man.

Turm: Thank You My Man. I will do just that, and we are nothing without people like you, otherwise the rhymes we blast would only end up in our bedrooms. #Salutes

I love blogging, I love hip hop I love my hood BGF and I love Hustlers. This lady right here (Kutlwano Maphanga) showed me her side of hustling her way around and I’m loving it. She sent me a message that reads “Hey Johannes please feature me on the 013 hip hop for an interview.” Hhhm and she wanted the interview right away. Like Damn>>> and this is how it went…

Jowise: Ait cool. Straight to the point type of lady. I like that. Now who is Kutlwano and what is she known for?

In touch with Cru Mayo. (uncut)

In the early hours of the morning at around I happened to find Cru Mayor on line and we had a little chat. I have been planning for days to have him on the 013 Hip Hop. So this is how our chat went. Uncut

Jowise: Cru

Cru Mayor: Awe my king

JW: How you doing my guy?

Cru: I’m good thanks and how are you doing?

JW: I’m dope man, so you gonna give me an interview?

Cru: Yes my king; in fact we can do it right now.

JW: You sure, aren’t it late for you?

Cru: Sure thing, nooo it ain’t late I’m sleepless anyway

JW: Ma man, let’s get on it

JW: Ma man, let's get on it. I'm sure lotta fans out there would like to know who Cru mayor is. Take us a little bit to the uncovered Cru?

Cru: Cru Mayor is a young talented rapper, poet and songwriter. Real name Mafolo Eddy, born on the 5th of July 1993 and raised in a small village called Motlolo(Ga Kgoshi Mafolo)

JW: So you have that royal blood running in your veins?

Cru: Hahaha I'm not sure about that, but somehow it might be true.

JW: Fair enough. When did you start rapping and who is your biggest influence?

Cru: I only started rapping in 2010. My biggest influence, hmmmm that's a tight one cause currently I listen to lotta rappers internationally and locally, but I love local the most so I'd say my biggest influence currently is KWESTA

But I fell in love back in the era of TEARGAS when they blew up with their hit song 'CHANCE' back then they were my biggest influence

JW: But I'm sure you did not grow up listening to

Kwesta. Who is that artist you grew up listening to?

Cru: I grew up listening to Kanye West, Eminem & 50

Cent just to mention a few

JW: Now that's more like it. And who is your favourite

BGF Mc/'s?

Cru: Mmm Kaye Gee,Kaytzo, CaptainRay,Lil'

Chief, Nose, Monster Saint, King Obbs, Turm yow the list is endless

JW: Ha ha ha ha don't mention them all. You are known as someone who is not afraid to tell if you ain't feeling any Mc, that's so controversial I must say but real Hip hop. What pushes Cru to speak his mind like that?

Cru: Hahaha oh well, the thing is; I can't pretend to be somebody that I'm not, this is who I am! I prefer to hurt with the truth than to comfort with lies, but it's so sad how my honesty is confused with hate or 'beef' rather!

JW:Ha ha ha ha ha Hip hop is beef, don't you think?

Cru: Apparently it is beef, buh don't you think it’s supposed to be a movement touching souls, uniting brothers and sisters and changing lives?

JW: It always finds its way of touching souls and uniting brothers and sisters. This is the reason why real cats and real fans appreciate when a feud or misunderstanding goes into the table called Mic and settle everything. It is bad when people who don't understand Hip hop take it personal and perform their criminal activities upon it.

Cru: I gatchu but lately it seems like rappers who aren't entertaining beef are taken less of rappers than the ones who does, it doesn't matter anyway. . .

JW: I guess so. Lately you had a misunderstanding with SkillZ and he came back blazing at ya. Your friends and fans are still waiting for you to drop a serious nuclear on him. I gotta confess that I personally am looking forward to it. Today I have a chance with you man and I'm asking on behalf of Hip hop. Is Cru on the lab cooking something?

Cru: At the moment my studies are my first priority!! Lemme make this clear: I don't wanna be known as that artist with diss songs and none hits to touch souls ,beautiful music one could relate to and dance to, but I will be in the studio working on new songs for my supporters very soon!

JW: Now that's what's up. Talking studies is Cru planning to go into music business or he's planning something else?

Cru: I love music so much but I have better plans and goals to reach, not music associated!

JW: So the game might lose you?

Cru: Nooor not really. Even if I reach my goals and all that, I will still contribute my skills, experience, knowledge and my business brains to the game partially by building my own record label to help upcoming artists like myself, I feel that's what artists mostly lack in BGF

JW: I like the sound of that. Now tell me is there someone that you would like to collaborate with in the future but you haven't mention a thing to him or her?

Cru: Oh yeah! I'd really love to collaborate with Kaye

Gee,M.A.T and Rapid Labron. Buh there are others

I'd also like to collaborate with, the likes of King

Obbs, Toy,Keallur & Monster Saint just to name a few, they already know that. . .

JW: And what do you think of BGF Hip hop? What needs to be done for the movement to grow stronger?

Cru: Currently, BGF Hip Hop is on a positive slope musically, and I love the path its takin!! But we lack support from our communities’ man that breaks my heart! I feel like we are totally rejected by business people in our land, I mean like charity begins at home isn't that right??? Now imagine how great it would be, what changes and opportunities it'll bring to our fellow artists if our business people colludes with our local State and create an art platform that was gonna benefit our fellow artists and our communities as a whole!

BGF Hip Hop needs more business minded people to see opportunities in our struggles and actually put in a hand to help our artists to grow further and hopefully put BGF Hip Hop on the map . . . To be honest witchu, most hip hop artists in BGF depends on Hip Hop Cares in terms of exposure and performances, besides Hip Hop Cares we ain’t never heard of em performing anywhere and that kills a lotta artists' confidence! As artists, we need to unite and come up with ideas to keep the culture going rather than depending on Hip Hop

Cares only, hoping and praying that one day our municipality will hear our requests and do something about it, but we shouldn't give up on convincing em though! If one or two comes up with an idea of a gig or talent show and we all stand up, go there and show our support, the community will follow and the municipality will be ashamed not to get involved!

JW: I understand your frustration man. Let's hope one day the sun shall fully arise and shine bright.

Anything else your fan has to know about Cru?

Cru: I've been getting questions about when will Cru work on a new project, well I won't be working on a new project this year or anytime soon, I’m sorry about that.

I am planning to drop a few singles, they should expect a new song in JULY (my birth month) and also a couple of songs I'll be featured in during this winter! Come see me doing my thing this winter @Hip

Man On The Throne.

N ose has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he is the king of BGF hip hop. with his 2016 single from November Man mixtape #200, Nos...
