11 days to go. The 11th is the day.
Great entertainment is promised! Breaking the cold is the whole plan. Molly aka Superman o mnyama will be the black superman who will use his supernatural powers to draw the sun
near Uber Lifestyle. Battles from Big Swazi vs Dizz and the femcees Devoted Kay
vs Pearly Hooks will deliver the coals. Performances from BGF Kats will make
sure the sun doesn’t go cold. This is the great sign of the growth of BGF hip
hop movement, the hip hop artist from all over BGF are all excited about the
event and have taken to social media to talk about how much they cannot wait to
hip the stage and have urged their fans to come in numbers. Hip Hop Cares 4 is
the event to attend this winter. The damage is R 20. This is for charity
people, donations will also be appreciated. For more info call 071 358 8008 or

In Touch With Wise. (Yeah Thee Wise)
This is one unusual interview, the
interviewer happened to sit on the other side of the desk, this is all the
works of the TURM the …….., yeah I was
just sitting minding my business when I received the message and yeah, in touch
with Wise
Turm: Bra Wise le wena you should be put on the hot seat and get
interrogated, we also need to hear your perspective towards the 013 Hip Hop
entlek
Wise: Lol really?
Turm: Come on, I'm sure everyone would love to journey into the
detective's mind and see what's there. Let me interview you.
Wise: Like now?
Turm: Right here, I'm not gonna ask Science Rocket questions don't
worry
Wise: Ha ha ha ha. Remember I have power to publish and not to.
Don't worry my hit me with any question and I'll answer.
Turm: Lol your power of twisting everything to your advantage is
denied by my screen grabbing application cos I also have my copy here. Anyway let's
get on it, who is Wise? I'm not a fan of this question so forget I asked. See I
believe everyone out there is wondering where this blog actually came from, who
created and what the inspiration was. Please feed us
Wise: Wise is Johannes Thulani Hlatswayo, born and raised in Bothashoek.
I grew up loving music and hip hop has always been my first love! I always had
a dream to see great talent coming outta BGF; not just talent but a movement
that will stand like a great empire. So this blog is a piece of my contribution
to build this empire. More is still to come.
Turm: "More is still to come", best phrase of all time. You
know I've always had these ideas of creating our own local magazine and things
like that and didn't know where to begin, so when I knew of the Zeal Radio
Station and the 013 Hip Hop blogs,
I was happy to see something finally
happening. I just wanna thank u on behalf of the entire town. Ayt enough with
the chick flick, moving along. Your number 1 BGF song of all time, and your
best at the moment
Wise: At the moment sixty four
bars and Fobagona is the best on my playlist and Yeah man I fell in love with
BGF movement, there are niggas who throw real words there and I was like Damn
this concept was doped and Nose's that's my words also blew the hack outta me.
I always have 2 favourite tracks. Sorry I can't give one.
Turm: Lol it’s okay, at least we know which pedals you step on. From
your list of songs I can tell you have a fair knowledge about our local
rappers, now tell me, what's your dream collab? If u had to put 4 emcees on one
beat, who would they be and by who's beat?
Wise: Ha ha ha ha I have two beat makers in mind and the not from BGF
it's Oohzy going by the name Calvin Tshemesi of township music and them fulskillakilla
(Mohale Motsei) of yard of spitters. If I can have those niggas on the beats;
then have Taydos, Turm, Prism and Nose. I foresee a super classic. And on the
2nd beat have lil chief, Dizz, Slabsta and fess, Yeah 2 joints.
Turm: Lol smart selection, this should actually be brought to reality
Man let's talk about Hip Hop and our town. A lot of rappers are complaining about
the lack of support by our people, do u think the work that is being put out is
enough to get half of the town to give them attention or they're actually
demanding for something they haven't earned yet? Like are our people being
ignorant or it’s us rappers who are expecting too much at an early stage?
Wise: I believe there is still a lot to be done. BGF emcees need to
develop this thing into a business that is still building itself at its own
expense. Look the music needs a full pressure spread, let there be a month or 3
where cats don't really care about downloads but record lotta joints, put them
on cd's and USB and give them away to taxi drivers, couple of shopping outlets
that plays music, even if not all of them will play but it will make an impact.
Again we need lot of free hip hop sessions that are well and fully marketed.
Not only on social media but also through word of mouth and pole print
advertising. BGF Kats need to work harder than before to put not just few
joints but tons of joints that will spread like cancer to our communities. It
is called aggressive marketing.
Turm: Exactly! Thank you....this is what I've also been thinking, we
not working hard enough for the support we desperate for. We will do just that my
King. Now Hip Hop Cares, we having a famous guest called Molly Mr Superman
omnyama, we've seen him a couple of times on TV and he's from Witbank I think.
Do you think it is "Wise" (No Pun Intended) to have such guests or
does the HHC management have to keep it strictly BGF?
Wise: Having guests is not a bad idea. We need quests more often. The
only problem is if we can give guests more attention than we do to our locals.
That is why I said for us to grow and
have our music out there we need to be smart and playing a losing game knowing
that we aim to win at the end, we need to have smart promoters who does not
fear to lose a little bit for the sake of lekke local artists growth.
Turm: I hear you, that's rigid hopefully things will get better and
better as time goes cos there is growth after all and that's the good news. My
last Question, u always put niggers in a very awkward position so now it’s your
turn: Which rappers do u think should just drop the mic and call it quits? And
name your number 1 BGF rapper
Wise: Ha ha ha ha ma man. Look I don't
have Kats that I can say they need to hang the Mic, I have Kats that I can say
they need to up their game and walk the walk, man this question is one question
lotta people are against, I received lotta inbox messages with people saying is
not an appropriate question. Last week I received a massage stating that I have
a vendetta against some Kats and I ask such questions to feed my personal
vendetta and cause tension against them niggas. The person specifically said I
have a problem with Termbar, man I never knew Termbar until I interviewed
Slabsta, day before yesterday was the first time I heard Termbar spits.
Guest @ Polokwane film festival |
This question is Hip hop man; this is
not me, and I write, question, supply and investigate for Hip hop. The question
is not to cause tension against cats but to reveal real Hip hop. I write what I
know Hip hop wanna hear and it will be penned down. Few days ago lot of people
also sent me a message saying I'm setting Skillz against Cru and I'm against
Cru in all this, did I? Hell no these niggas are in the midst of Hip hop;
the013Hiphop was only few days old and found the beef on the stand. I followed
covered the beef. It was Cru who spoke his mind against Skillz lines and I was like
this is Hip hop, Skillz took a challenge and manned up one it. I wasn't there
but Hip hop was. When I wrote an article about Cru dodging the shots, I wasn't
going against Cru but against how he treats Hip hop, I have no bad blood
against
Cru, he is a good nigga and never will I
do anything to sabotage his work. But the way he handled the Skillz thing was
cowardice since he came first. So people need to understand that I'm sitting in
an area where I have to write not only for the people but also for Hip hop and
also my knowledge of the game.
Turm: Lol Preach, preach the Word Wise! Cru has no one to blame, its
rappers who disrespect him not you, and u can't be expected to ask irrelevant
question like "As a rapper, what's your favourite colour".
You doing your job just fine, its only
unfortunate that Cru is the laughing stock and it led to these blocks. Wise I'm
never gona run out of questions so let's cut it here; I'll ask you more when we
meet. So long brother
Wise: Ma man. You got cojones you know that? I wasn't expecting
something like this. And they are 5 Kats that are my best. I'll say one the day
I have them all in one joint and Let them kill one another.
Turm: Lol it’s not cojones, I'm just making use of my Freedom of
Speech right. I can't let shit deprive me from saying what's on my chest,
otherwise I won't be doing "Hip Hop" cos I'll be fake.
Bring that joint of your Big Five to
life, BGF awaits!
Wise: Hlatswayo Ma man

The Devoted Kay VS Pearly Hooks
Available Weapons |
Battle rap is not the destruction of hip
hop it's the battle of well deserving respect. It's like when superman and
spider man work to prove to the masses that who the realist super hero is. It
is such competitions that make any game. BGF Hip hop is about to witness the
most brutal battle of the femcees on the 11th of July 2015, HHC (Hip hop cares)
is the event, that's right Pearly Hooks vs The Devoted Kay. Them girl’s feud
started when Kay told www.the013.blogspot.com that she feels alone in BGF, like
she doesn't have any competition. Hooks took that as a challenge and called for
a battle. Shout out to Dizz who said offered them ladies some Spaniard weapons
so that they can murder each other. Now the question is who is going to be the
gladiator? Come to HHCIV and be entertained. BGF Hip hop forever. We at the 013
Hip hop have contacted 911 to ask for their numbers just in case we need their
enforcement or emergency life support. Done

In touch with Prism
One of the longest interviews on the 013 hip hop. And yeah Prism played
a little hide and seek, ladies and gents I present to you Prism (uncut)
Wise: Prism ma G
Wise: Prism ma G
Prism:
Sho wise
Wise:
How ya doing?
Prism:
Doing Good...lemme
guess....it’s my turn right?
Wise:
It's your joint ma
nigga and we gonna smoke it together. The question is are you ready?
Prism:
Yes n No...ma
battery can go off at any time n um at school now...maybe later
Wise:
Let's kill it
later. Let me know
Prism:
Awe
Wise:
(A day Later) and you don't come back to me?
Prism:
Let’s get over with
it now....hade 4 that.
Wise:
Ma man. So where do
we start with Prism?
Prism:
I dont know um
supposed 2 answer so u throw da questions my G
Wise:
Ha ha Ok give us
the inside of Prism. Who is this King and what is he about?
Prism:
Prism is Microphone
Slave from Bothashoek, started rapping in 2009 with da influence of ''Tryna Fit
In'' as a cool guy in those high school days...and a guy who hopes 2 stay real
n make nothing but life music
Wise:
You kind of kill
every verse you spit outta your mouth. What's your secret?
Prism:
My secret is NO
SECRET!!! Creativity n dedication i wud say...i been rapping for a while so i
strive 2 be perfect on my lyrical content by practising n freestyling
everyday....even if it means conceiving one punchline 4 a day its better dan
just sitting n doing nothing
Wise:
I guess your
practice is on point because there are lotta niggas practice every hour but
there is nothing to deliver at the end of the day. Do you perhaps also write
your scripts on an empty stomach?
Prism:
I DO WRITE SCRIPTS
even when my stomach is full so I kinda don’t get your question...
Wise:
Ha ha ha ha don't
mind me I'm trying to crack genesis sound secret here. Moving right along, what
are your views on BGF Hip hop? What is lacking and what is on the right track?
Prism:
My view on Hip Hop
in my hometown....??? Well wats right is that every day, out of da blue there’s
another rapper emerging in BGF(which obviously means BGF Hip Hop is growing n
is being noticed by people out der) and Hip Hop Cares event gat most of our
backs wen it comes 2 dishing out da talent we have 2 da youth/there’s gender equity
wen it comes 2 artists n fan base(which is wat we need)....BUT wats lacking is
Understanding of the Hip Hop culture as a whole in most of our artists n
supporters combined!!! For examples...How can u call some1 like Lil chief wack
if you doing underground/Hard-core rap...Hip Hop itself has its own division
within its culture...there has 2 be Underground Emcees/Der has 2 be hard-core
rappers, battle Kats combined...there has 2 be life music n der has 2 be hip
hop Bangers...How can people dance in da club if a track from Proverb is on da
playlist...so I would say before considering sum1 whack...mark n understand your
territory first n your aims as a rapper/musician n understand da aim of other
individuals in da Hip Hop scene...people said um too conscious n hard core in
my music n confused fans would think that’s how Hip Hop is supposed 2 be so I
decided 2 do bangers n fuse Hip Hop with other Genres too...ppl shud blame da
music industry b4 considering hit makers wack...so der should be understanding
in our Hometown
Wise:
Ma man. Educate the
hack outta us, so if someone step out of his territory and start poking fingers
into eyes. Let's say Prism is on some straight commercial summer and then jump
into the hard core winter Turm and poke on some I don't feel ya. What should
happen in that case?
Prism:
that’s actually
kinda rare...um sure we ya’ll learnt that lesson thru drake when he tried 2
Diss Common n got a reply that was Good for his own knowledge...it’s usually
underground Kats taking on da commercial Kats, maybe cos da were told 2 be da
dopest or better than that commercial dude...I consider such moves publicity
stunts 4 underground emcees who are tired of starvation and da
under-recognition...even most of these underground Kats...they feature commercial
Kats when they tryna get da money...so
if such beef happens....Pathetic fans would promote that beef
Wise:
Done. You appeared
on the list of BGF kings. As compilers where did we lose it?
Prism:
K'zone n Mo Split...n
dat nigga J tight...they should’ve been der...But I can’t judge coz I don’t
know wat da list was based on...but so far so good it was a fair list
Wise:
Thanks for the
input ma nigga. Now who is that one nigga in BGF you'd say the act is always on
point?
Prism:
Pardon me 4 giving
you more dan one...but Taydos n Nose!!! Dont wanna always give the thumps up 2
Genesis Team
Wise: Ha ha ha ha ha fair enough, wait till I crack the genesis boys
secret, and that one nigga that you do not feel? Well maybe 2 or...?
Prism:
The first track I heard
from Big Swazi is called Disaster Rhymes...fuck quality or no quality but after
that I Don’t think ama download his music...sounds more like a confession
speech than a diss song 2 me....n there’s more bra yaka just don’t wanna drop
names...um tryna get all support I can get so don’t wanna create haters
Oooh i 4gat Cru Mayor
Wise:
Ha ha ha ha you
don't wanna create haters? Come on, you gonna have haters anyway if you don't
have none already. But hey I respect your point of view. Now what do you think
of the femcee that is going to take place at the HHCiv?
Prism:
Never met any of them...Only
heard a few bars from Pearly Hooks but as for Devoted Kay never heard any from
her...so its something 2 look forward to at HHC...N I think BGF Hip Hop needs
more Bi***es
Wise:
And what can be expected
from Prism at the HHC?
Prism:
So far I cud say a
dope performance with Turm n Monster Saint...Performing alongside Kush Joint
with our latest Banger Called BIG BOOTY...I hoped n still hope 2 be a Live
Sound Engineer @ HHC throughout all the shows FOR FREE but I don’t know wat
kinda Live sound they aiming at n wat kinda mixing console they use...coz sometimes
da mics makes da vocals sound distorted...and I noticed that there’s a lot of
feedback(which is strictly not allowed in Live Shows)...Hopefully sum other time
in da future The PA system n da FOH at HHC can be improved
Wise:
I'm sure Dizz will
look at your statement and come to it. Choose one K dot or Slim shady?
@ Work |
Prism:
Slim Shady of the
past
Wise:
Reason or Proverb?
Prism:
Proverb
Wise:
Ma man. Before I
Let you go, is there anything you want to spit out?
Prism:
Bgf rappers let’s
keep working harder than this...BGF Hip Hop should start invading Houses n Cars
in bgf n not only end on Facebook/twitter or WhatsApp...We obviously don’t think
the same but one thing I know every
rapper wants recognition n Publicity...so spread your music like a virus
Wise:
That's what's up.
You said it ma homie, Thanks for your time and damn your knowledge of Hip
hop.........
Prism:
My pleasure Wise...lol
um still waiting for you to crack the Genesis Sounds secret phela...
Madibas in hand |
Wise:
Ha ha ha ha ha that
one I'm gonna have to bring you a bag of green then we'll talk.
Prism:
Lol It will take a
lot of the BAGS OF WEED 2 tell u da secret...but next year Genesis is going
back 2 da slavery times...working harder than ever worked before....as for
these year be on a look out 4 a few tracks with em Genesis Affiliates...if
worked hard enough den maybe a Genesis Album....n don’t tell anyone...that’s
all I know wink emoticon
Wise:
Ha ha ha you just
told the wrong nigga. I can't be trusted with secrets.
Prism:
Lol anyways thanks
for having me on the 013 Hip Hop Blog...appreciate the platform
Wise:
Ma man

hop, the best man who will blow the crowd with on point bars is home free and
hip hop shall recognise the nigga. DONE, THIS IS HIP HOP AND HHCIV IS THE PLACE

In touch with YOGGY BAR
After YOGGY BAR came under attack from
cats who labelled him wack, I had to give ma nigga a platform to voice out his side of the story. and this is the man story.
Wise: Yoggy ma man.
Yoggy: Sup.
Wise: I'm dope what's up?
Yoggy: None much your side?
Wise: Just chilling. Man I gotta put you on the platform.
I want you on the 013Hip hop. How's that
sound?
Yoggy: Yeah dope so what’s on your mind?
Thought we gonna talk dates n stuff
Wise: Tell me when you free then we kick the interview
Yoggy: Is it a face to face thing or via fb?
Wise: Via fb,
Yoggy: Ayt I’m free now
Wise: Ma man. Tell us a little about Yoggy.
Yoggy: Let me see I'm a young rapper from motvill usually known as
motlolo. I am that nigga who just love music (hip hop)
Wise: How did you get into the game? What was your biggest
inspiration?
Yoggy: I started back in 2008 with my nigga Neqeun, I was inspired by
my big bro Potso I used to find him writing a song n asking me how his lines sound
like, but I had no idea what he was up to. I started doing the same but didn't
know what I was doing during the time
Wise: Ma man. Every artist has this one artist who they consider the
best of the best. Who is Yoggy's no 1?
Yoggy: Eish tricky question ayt there best artist for me I would say
its j Cole.
Wise: And who is your favourite among BGF cats?
Yoggy: Paris (Prism) and Nose those niggas are on some dope rap kinda
shit.
Wise: Lately two cats on the 013 jumped on your head, Monster saint and
Slabsta to be specific. What did that say to you as an emcee?
Yoggy: I get the reason they said I'm wack, point is that I don't have
a single track myself but I don't consider myself wack improvement goes with time
and it’s been a while since I recorded. Been doing my best on features but this
July I’m dropping my first single hope them niggas are ready.
With my nigga Cru |
Wise: So you gonna raise the bar?
Yoggy: That's the point according to me I think my music or shall I
say verses raise every time I record, I mean like how many niggas get the
attention I get on features? Only one nigga in BGF YOGGY BAR.
Wise: Ma man. Can't wait for your single, Do you have cats that you
don't feel yourself?
Yoggy: Mmmmm eish I will have to say
Termbar, and who else mm Kidd Blezz is good but I don’t feel him.
Wise: Ma man, it's healthy to spit out what you don't feel. Now there
are going to be femcees battle at the HHC, one of them is your homegirl I
believe. What do you think about this new development on the BGF Hip hop?
Yoggy: The BGF hip hop its getting big my guy, you see I have been
staying so many places but never saw such love for hip hop, in BGF we do hip
hop with love not only for show off that's why we have such development and
trending music.
Wise: Great talk man, we need to make sure that we don't grow weary
but keep the momentum going. What do you think should be done for the municipality
and local radio to start supporting the movement?
Yoggy: I think if we use the donation or items we donate on different areas,
like there should be some sort of a movement. What I think is happening is that
the HHC member focus on 1 area it will be good if each donating go to a
different rapper's area for the HHC to trend
Wise: I hope Dizz will look at it. Tell me you heard lotta beats in
BGF. Which one would you say that is an ish?
Yoggy: This other beat done by my nigga j something like that that
nigga knows his work.
Wise: Are you going to HHCIV and what
can be expected from Yoggy? Yoggy: Yeah I am going but this time I think I
won't be on the stage, what u can expect is love and support.
Wise: Ma man. Thanks for your time. We
wish you all the best in your journey and we'll be waiting for your single.

In Touch With Monster Saint
This is one of the interviews I always
played hide and seek with. I always wanted to hook up an interview with the man
behind Monster mode. Today I finally tracked him down and this is how it all
went down. we greeted and we...........
Wise: Ayt cool let's get this plane of the ground. Who is monster
saint?
Monster Saint: Ayt, Monster Saint is a young talented rapper from Burgersfort,
residing' at a village called Thokwane, work very hard at what he do(music) and
gives 1000 % no matter what.in short, Monster Saint is a beast on the mic.
Wise: Why the name Monster saint?
Monster Saint: I was only "Saint" when I started out, one day when I’m
spittin a 16 my homie said I’m a "Monster", I liked it, but I decided
not to let go of the "Saint" Because it represent my real life, for
example "Money Trees”. So I figured an oxymoron name would be cool, that’s
how Monster Saint came about
Wise: Tight. And who did you grow up listening to, your inspiration?
Monster Saint: I grew up listening' to Eminem, Lil Wayne, and a bit of Jay z
Wise: Who is dope, Eminem or lil Wayne?
Monster Saint Eminem without a doubt!
Wise: and who is your dope emcee in BGF? Ok Let me say give me your
top 5.
Monster Saint: My Top 5 be NOSE, TAYDOS, PRISM, TU RM and FESS! You can never
go wrong with thee niggas!
Wise: Ok, and who is in you whack list?
Monster Saint: Lough out loud, Whack list neh? Ayt, Tembar, Yoggy, Big Swazi,
Toy and the rest of DTA, ehm niggas should just quit Hip Hop klaar!
Wise: Quit? Ha ha ha ha why not up their game?
Monster Saint: Lough out loud, they been in this game for long but they still
on the same level musically, so it’s useless.
Wise: Fair enough. Now you have couple of joints under you. Which one
do you consider your best offering?
Monster Saint: It will have to be "Monster Mode”. I don’t go a day
without listening to it
Wise: Tight. Ma man you appeared on the BGF kings.
Who do you think
was left out, and who would you remove from the list?
Monster Saint: I wouldn’t remove anybody, but I believe "Keallur"
should be on the list.
Wise: Ma man, we’ll follow his work, which emcee would you like to do
a joint album with if given that opportunity? You know like Nas and Damian
Marley's Distant Relatives and Jay-z and R Kelly's best of both worlds?
Monster Saint: Any artist or BGF
kats?
Wise: Both worlds pick one
from both.
Monster Saint: Ayt, Internationally
it gonna have to be Jay Rock and from BGF Kats,I will go with Turm all the way.
Wise: Now the HHCIV. What
is it that you looking forward to on the event?
Monster Saint: Yo! A lot man, Slabsta
performing his new track, There is a femcee battle, And the Celebrity guest
too, and the performing' line up is nuts too! But mostly I look forward to killing'
the stage with Prism and Turm as Genesis!
Wise: Ma man. Anything else
you wanna share?
Monster Saint: Yeah I have a killer
single coming' out later next month, that’s all I can reveal right now, and
shout out To Genesis, STN and every BGF artist pushing' out there.
